"Just a quick email to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the Port MacQuarie backpackers hostel and how welcome the owner made us feel. Apart from being one of the only hostels that actually had hot water for showers no matter what time of the day it was the beds were comfy the rooms funky and the atmosphere was great! "Hi just thought that I would let you know about a hostel I stayed at in Port Macquarie called Port Macquarie Backpackers. It was the perfect setting! A nice old house with great character updated washrooms and a convenient location. Tony the manager is fantastic. A back-packer himself he is a wealth of information and will do anything to make your stay at the hostel and in Port Macquarie better. Free breakfast coffee/tea and free internet! I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to port macquarie. Thanks" - Pauline |

"Port Macquarie Backpackers I have to say... Tony is the best host ever for a hostel. He is amazing. Super Friendly and has time for anyone to help with anything. He doesn't bulls**t you. He tells it how it is and tells you what is good and how to do it. He made my stay in Port the best town in Aussie so far. This hostel is unreal so much for such a great value. "Having recently recently stayed at Port Macquarie Backpackers I am writing to inform you of the excellent service provided. Having unexpectidly met me of the bus Tony the manager went out of his way to ensure that I and all other backpackers staying there had all the information that we required to make the most of Port Macquaire. The hostel is of clean standard and the free facilites made the stay more enjoyable. Having been travelling for the last 6 months I would highly recommend this hostel and would urge you to include this in your next edition of the lonley planet. Yours faithfully" - Vicky
